Info on working and living in South Africa?
I’m a 19 year old white male, i live in GB and I’ve always had the urge to go travelling. My extended family all live in different parts of the world from Aus/New Z to North America and Spain. I have been thinking seriously about travelling to South Africa (Cape Town/Strand) for maybe a few months, to live and work there. I know there are various issues regarding race and employment over there and I was wondering if anyone could give me any guidelines/info on SA and its culture. Thanks ![]()
Im not into Geophysics particularly, my proffesion at the moment is technical design and i’m a trainee CAD technician. I’m going to learn on the job towards various qualifications.
gimme a break, is this how you treat people who want to come to your country and help its economy? fine, ill just go to australia. your loss
you think un-employment is bad in the UK at the moment, well SA’s up around the 34% mark, so don’t necessary think that finding employment will be easy. I am also not sure what visas you will need and you will need to check that out. While you can enter the country without a visa (issued at the boarder) you will not be able to work.
Do some homework on the technicalities of working in S-A before you get too excited about the idea.
