How Do I Get A Travel Writer Job?
I love to travel but lack the funds to do so. I have a strong administrative background and have been freelance writing for years. How does one get a good travel writer job? I have no idea how to even begin?!
Begin by “phantom travel writing”. Do research on a specific country.
Map out itinerary. Write a daily travelogue journal as though you were there. Include specific details, weather, sightseeing, foods etc. This should not only familiarize you w/ the diff. countries but pique your interest in getting there. Next, get your travel agent license. This will put you even closer to your dream and the majority of travel agencies have discounts for their agents. Why? Because if you’ve been there you are then a firsthand expert. If you let $$ stand in the way, then you are using it as an excuse. So go for it!
